May 2018 Newsletter: Offering the Best Supplements Available

Offering the Best Supplements Available
I am frequently asked how I decide the products to offer my clients. There are so many products on the market all claiming to be the best! And, I am constantly approached by supplement manufacturers to carry their products. Since high quality supplements are critical for successful outcomes, those I recommend must be effective.

The decision starts with the desire to provide the best supplements on the market - products that will support my clients throughout their healing process. It is a difficult decision requiring substantial undertaking on my part to add new products. There is not only the dollar investment in inventory, but there is a significant time investment in learning the products. I need to understand what products are available and what they are used for.

I research the companies and ask questions to colleagues to learn from their experiences. Most important, before I bring new products into inventory I evaluate samples to see how they perform in muscle testing. Once I see they muscle test positive with clients I have the necessary confidence that the products will be effective with my clients.

When I decide to offer a new product line or increase my offerings from a specific company, it is newsworthy! Recently I have expanded my offerings from Designs for Health and have introduced the Intestinal Cleanse line from Southern Botanicals.

Exciting Products From Designs for Health
I have had an account with Designs for Health for many years, but had only used a few products in practice. Several months ago, I decided to take a closer look at their full array of offerings and noticed many possibilities to complement the other products I had available. The Designs for Health product line features many powders and liquids so it is very “child friendly.” There is Immunoberry – an elderberry and mushroom based immune system support product; Ginger Tussin – a cherry tasting herbal throat elixir and immune system support product; Silvercillin – a silver spray for immune system support; Curcum-Evail Chewables – a turmeric, anti-inflammatory product; OmegaAvail Smoothie – a fish oil in a variety of tasty flavors; and many others. For the line of immune system support products click here: https://brwellness.ehealthpro.com/t/product-category-index/immunity.

Designs for Health also features some highly specialized digestive enzymes that work in conjunction with other gut healing products. For the line of digestive support products click here: https://brwellness.ehealthpro.com/t/product-category-index/digestion-gi-health.

The product I am most excited about is VegeCleanse Plus. This is a detoxification program available in a 14 or 21-day version. It is very easy to do. Everything is in packets. I’ve seen amazing results in my clients completing this program. I like to pair it with the 14-day Lean Body Program – a weight loss program. I recently wrote an article, “What’s Right for You? Detoxification, Weight Loss, or Gut Cleanse?” To read the article click here: http://brwellness.com/?p=1104

One of my all-time favorite bars is the PB Meal bar. I call it “a healthy Reese’s peanut butter cup.” It is also the favorite of my wife Susana, my daughter Mollie, and my step-son Rafi! Designs for Health offers a wide variety of tasty bars. These bars are wonderful for on-the-go moms, college students, as a mid-afternoon snack (to carry you over until dinner), or post workout.

April 2018 Newsletter: Pets Are People Too!

Pets Are People Too!
Happy Spring! I am excited to devote this newsletter issue to pets. This past Thursday we had a wonderful guest speaker for our Open House. Sue Howell, DVM, CVFT, CVA of Thrive Wholistic Veterinary Care in Thiensville. Sue has a certification in Food Therapy and Acupuncture from the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine and receives ongoing training in Nutrition Response Testing.

Sue gave an excellent presentation on wholistic care for pets explaining the power of whole foods, holistic nutrition, and food energetics, concentrating on cats and dogs. Just like humans, our pets are facing the same increasing rates of disease from eating highly processed food – not what they were designed to eat. For my top three takeaways from the talk, see below.

I remember a couple of years ago I was astounded when I read that 70% of household pets are on at least one medication!! So, if you have a sick pet or want to improve the health of your pet, I strongly suggest you give Dr. Sue a call. Her information is below:

To continue the pet theme, there is a very powerful documentary that will be available for free viewing called The Truth About Pet Cancer. It looks to be very interesting and eye opening. To view the trailer and sign up click here: https://thetruthaboutpetcancer.com/sneak-peek/.

You can also get a free e-book Pet Health Secrets from the producers of the documentary by clicking here: https://thetruthaboutpetcancer.com/ebook/

The Three Most Important Pet Food Facts I Learned
First, while most mammals such as humans have amylase in their saliva cats and dogs do not. This is highly significant and helps to explain even further why our pets have become so sick from their highly processed and high carbohydrate foods. Amylase is an enzyme to digest carbohydrates. This means that in cats and dogs carbohydrates are not digested at all until they reach the small intestines. With a higher than natural amount of carbohydrates in their diets, this is likely interfering with their digestion and contributing to the development of diseases as they are not able to efficiently digest, process, and utilize a high amount of carbohydrates.

Second, variety is very important. While the main stream veterinary medicine tells you that feeding your pet the same food is good for your pet, otherwise they will have digestive issues, the exact opposite is actually true. Because they are eating the same food they lose some of the ability to digest a variety of foods, thus resulting in the digestive problems. A variety of foods also ensures that they get all the nutrients they need from a variety of sources.

Third, the nutritional diets designed for pets and described on pet food labels are based on the minimum of specific nutrients they need. This is similar in that the daily recommended nutrient for humans is actually the minimum amount of a specific vitamin or mineral you will not get a specific disease associated with a vitamin deficiency. These are not recommendations for vital health. As we all know, the minimum is not the optimal!

Remember: You Were Designed to Feel Good!!
My focus remains on humans, and here is a recent quote from a happy client:

“I am amazed at how good I feel and how quickly I felt better after seeing you and getting sincerely on board with my health.  With your expertise and my desire I am seeing a huge improvement in my health and am excited to see where I will be in a month (my next appointment).  I am energized and enthusiastic to continue my progress and am thankful for your guidance and knowledge.” C.K.

March 2018 Newsletter: Take A Break From The Madness!!

It’s that time of the year – March Madness!! This month’s newsletter will be brief as I have my own version of March Madness under way!! A very busy client schedule and an upcoming trip to one of my favorite learning opportunities of the year – Concordia 2018 – presented by Physica Energetics. I’ve mentioned in the past one of the favorite parts of my job is learning new information to benefit my clients. Each time I go to one of these seminars I come back with new pearls of wisdom to share.

A couple of reminders…

Reminder 1: I will be out of the office Tuesday, March 6 through Friday March 9 to attend a seminar. I will be back in the office Monday, March 12. Please let me know if you need to pick up any supplements next Monday March 5th and I will gladly have them ready for you.

Reminder 2: My next Open House will be March 29 at 7:15 PM. I have a special guest, Dr. Sue Howell, DVM, CVFT, CVA, the owner of Thrive Holistic Veterinary Care in Thiensville. Here’s a link to her website: https://thrivepetvet.com/. In a nutshell, Sue does what I do, but for your dog or cat! She also does acupuncture on pets with great results!! Our dog Barry enjoyed his session too! And he loves his supplements!!

Green Med Info

In today’s world of “fake news” and “I found this on Google” it is a challenge to find reliable and accurate information. Particularly as it pertains to your health. One of my favorite sites for interesting and provocative information is GreenMedInfo. They cover the whole spectrum from what foods are good for you and why to the vaccine debate! Click here to take a look: http://www.greenmedinfo.com/.

Happy Clients

The most favorite part of my job is helping people become healthier. There is nothing more satisfying than a client who follows the program and gets awesome results. Here are two of the latest examples.

“I want to thank you so much for helping me get my body back in nutritional health!
All the supplements you had me take were just what my body needed.  My skin rashes
have cleared up, I have more energy and alertness, I am able to eat some things I couldn't
before and I feel better overall than I have for a long time!!! I shall definitely recommend you to my friends who are looking for better overall health!!”

“Thank you for that explanation. I really didn't know the pain would lessen. I thought Dr. [chiropractor] was my only way of getting more comfortable. You are truly a blessing in my life. I'm so thankful Dr. [chiropractor] referred me to you.”
